ROSIE OLIVER - ASTER

Rosie is currently in rehearsals to play the titular character in Carrie: The Musical. It is her second production with Dark Psychic Productions, having played Wednesday in their run of The Addams Family Musical in 2016. She started performing at an early age and went to John Curtin College of the Arts where she featured in several plays including To Kill a Mockingbird, The Bald Prima Donna and the musical Sweet Charity. While she has a lot of experience on stage, The Light will be Rosie’s first venture into screen acting.

“My goal for The Light is to help in bringing Zack’s vision to life and to do justice to his writing. He has created such a dynamic story, with dynamic characters. I want to be able to honour that. One of the most exciting parts about any project is learning who your character really is. Finding what makes them tick. What their desires and fears and aspirations are. Aster is someone who I can relate to in many ways, but at the same time I still have things to discover about her and I am beyond excited to get to explore that in the next few months.”
